Trust and Self-Talk: Changing the Conversation

Join us on Zoom for a 90-minute Leader Lab—part conversation, part practice—where we explore a leadership idea together, work through it in small breakout groups, and return with insights to take back into our lives.
This session continues our April exploration of self-talk by focusing on what comes next: how to change the conversation. Once we begin to notice patterns like harsh self-criticism, imposter talk, and assumption talk, the opportunity is to respond differently. The way we relate to these internal voices shapes how we lead, how we communicate, and how much trust we create with others.
In this session, we’ll practice simple ways to shift self-talk in real time—questioning the story without dismissing the feeling, and replacing automatic reactions with more grounded, intentional responses. Together, we’ll explore how small changes in internal dialogue can lead to clearer thinking, stronger relationships, and more trustworthy leadership.
Leader Lab is a relaxed place where entrepreneurs, managers, professionals, and other thoughtful people come together to strengthen self-leadership and emotional intelligence. Whether you’re navigating complex decisions at work, building stronger relationships, or simply curious about how to work more effectively with your own thinking, you’ll leave with insights you can bring back into your leadership and everyday life.
