Leader Lab — Forgiveness
Join us on Zoom for a 90-minute Leader Lab—part conversation, part practice—where we explore a leadership idea together, work through it in small breakout groups, and return with insights to take back into our lives.
Many of us carry an invisible pressure to feel a certain way: I should be over this. I should forgive. I should move on. But when those expectations don't match what we're actually experiencing, they create an internal gap — a misalignment that can quietly drain our energy and clarity. In this Leader Lab, we explore the powerful role the word "should" plays in shaping our emotional lives and leadership.
Together, we'll practice recognizing when "should" language is creating tension between expectation and reality. Instead of trying to fix or change what we feel, we'll focus on something simpler and often more transformative: acknowledging the truth of our experience. When we remove the pressure to feel a certain way, we create space for genuine understanding, alignment, and growth.
Through guided discussion and small-group practice, participants will explore situations where they believe they should feel differently than they do. The goal isn't to force forgiveness or resolution, but to notice the misalignment and replace "should" with honest awareness. Often, that simple shift becomes the first step toward authentic forgiveness, letting go, and more grounded leadership.
